A Helping Hand

This week was quite an emotional one for many people. My beloved New York City and other cities throughout northeastern U.S. and the Caribbean were hit by hurricane Sandy and are suffering with the aftermath this hurricane’s destruction caused. Listening to the reports and seeing the images online made me feel so helpless and not being able to lend a helping hand made it even worse. Seeing the places that I’ve visited with my family and areas we’ve lived damaged and unrecognizable made this week a lot more somber than most.

Hurricane Sandy

If your personal finances allow, I ask you to find a reputable charity and donate what you can to help. If you are unable to your prayers will work just as much. I’m sure that whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated. Maybe you too are feeling helpless not knowing  how to help or who to trust to make donation through. I can tell you that donating made me feel better knowing that I had a little hand in the aid it will bring. I’m sure you’ll feel the same way, too. I pray that everyone affected by Sandy is helped and that they are blessed so they may find their way back to normal again…even if that means a new normal.

I do hope you have a great weekend my friends and here are a few lovely links I’d like to share with you {the first one is the best!}:
