The Demure Wedding Dress

How lucky are the brides that will be marrying in the autumn of 2013? With all the amazing dresses and trends that await them, there will surely be many beautiful brides walking down the aisle. I especially liked the sleeved dresses. I’ve always preferred a more modest wedding dress. When I say modest I don’t mean covered from head to toe; I mean showing some skin but not too much. It’s annoying having to tug at a strapless dress all night to make sure that it hasn’t fallen too far down while dancing or making sure that the strategically placed lace on your dress, intended to cover certain areas, stays in place. These are some of the things that can happen even after having your dress altered. Show more skin after the reception is over in the privacy of your honeymoon suite…after all isn’t it your wedding night {smile}?

I was happy to see beautifully demure wedding dresses at New York’s International Bridal Week. If you are a bride that prefers to wear a dress that would cover you because of your religious or cultural beliefs it does not mean you have to wear a dress that is void of style or beauty. There are many dresses for you to choose from. There were many sleeved wedding gowns with lace, tulle, silk, and handmade details in different silhouettes to fall in love with. I love that you have choices because every bride, no matter her preference, deserves the most perfect wedding dress. Happy hunting lovelies!
