Invitation Inspiration :: A French Inspired Suite

When planning a wedding there are a few wedding professionals that a couple can hire to collaborate with, even if they are not in their city, state, or country…and an invitation artist is one of them. I wanted to be able to give you the opportunity to meet and see the work of different invitation artists from different places that are great at what they do. Let’s face it, you will be making a ton of decisions as your wedding day draws closer and as a planner I want to make at least one task a bit easier for you. That’s what this new feature, Invitation Inspiration is all about.

To kick off the series we are starting with the paper goods and design company Little Bit Heart which is ran by cousins Elizabeth and Jenna out of Maryland. The invitation suite they sent to share with us today was created for a couple who wanted a design with a little French oh la la. As an admitted Francophile I had to feature this fun and elegant suite! I love the font they chose for the script and the colors red and navy are perfectly French.

“We worked with the event inspiration from Natalie at Events by EDG to design a modern and sophisticated invitation set with a bit of a Parisian look. We started with inspiration images- classic calligraphy, ribbon spools, Paris at night- and a red, white, and blue color palette (the colors of the French flag). We sent over preliminary design ideas, and when the couple- miles away from each other at the time- both chose the same design, we knew we’d captured what they were looking for. We loved working with this color palette (we moved the blue towards navy for a more elegant feel) and incorporating little touches of France as well- like writing out the RSVP wording.”
