Unforgettable Weddings & Lovely Links

Happy Friday, lovelies! I have a few lovely links for you today, but I also want to share one of my favorite weddings with you, too. I’m mostly drawn to sophisticated weddings that weave the new and the old together to create a modern-classic look. I love intimate, elegantly styled weddings that reflect the couple’s sensibilities and not the latest wedding trends. I prefer softer colors, and personalized details. When you combine all those elements you have the making of what I consider an unforgettable wedding.

I love when I stumble upon a wedding that fits my criteria to add to my unforgettable wedding list. One of them happens to be the 2011 wedding of Lauren Bush to David Lauren. I absolutely love the retro look of their wedding portrait. If you haven’t seen the images you can see them online at Vogue. They are simply breathtaking. The bride’s wedding dress was designed by the groom’s father Ralph Lauren and was made with antique tulle hand-embroidered with Swarovski Elements, beads, and pearls. The wedding took place at the designer’s Double RL Ranch in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The perfect setting for the wedding that was described as “black tie with a western twist”.
