Cake & Details :: Pantone Poppy Red & Grayed Jade

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! Today I am continuing my Pantone Cake & Details Inspiration Boards with Poppy Red and Grayed Jade. I honestly think that Pantone’s 2013 colors are my favorite of all the colors of the past years and I am having fun creating these boards and sharing them with you. Let me know what you think. There are many brides and event designers that could have told Pantone long ago that this color is a favorite in the wedding industry. Not only is this a beautiful color it so calming. Grayed Jade is beautiful with neutrals like beige and  kraft brown, especially on paper. Grayed Jade acts as a neutral with various shades of  violet, metallics like gold and silver. It is also perfect {see hints of it in the bouquet in the board below} with brighter colors like poppy red, nectarine and creates a wonderful color story when used with coral and turquoise. The combinations are endless. My favorite colors with Grayed Jade? I have many but you can see one right here …sweet and glamorous just like an At First Blush & Co. wedding!

This color was picked by Pantone due to the “cultural influence” brought to the world by Asia. But if you ask me if you want to inject vibrant fun into your wedding, Poppy Red is the color for you. Whether you use it in your bouquet, or as accessories to punch up your wedding attire, or on your nails or lips…it is the perfect punch of color. You can pair this color with mint, gray, peach, and  look great with black and white stripes {think reception or cocktail table linen}. Red is the color of optimism, love, and desire…perfect sentiments for a wedding day! Wouldn’t you agree? XO
