Happy Monday friends! Hope you had an amazing weekend. This pretty little wedding inspiration board was created for a 2014 At First Blush & Co. couple who needed some initial design direction for for their wedding next spring. Although, personally, I am a fan of neutral palettes, there is something gorgeously fun when magenta and plum are paired together. Adding navy gives it an air of sophistication…and keeps it from looking too feminine.
floral ice cubes | papel picado | al fresco dining | bridesmaid
cake | table numbers | centerpieces
Cultural accents that do not overpower the entire design were used to give a subtle nod to the groom’s heritage {see the papel picado on cake & hung high intended to be used in entrance of reception}. For your own wedding if you really do not want to incorporate your cultural background in grand details but still want to please the family, subtle accents is what I always suggest.
Al Fresco dining is a favorite choice for many couples throughout the year in southern California and is always suggested especially with the beautiful blooming of springs flowers.Take advantage of the outdoor beauty and use it to enhance your event design by allowing nature’s elements to blend seamlessly with yours. Simple floral centerpieces can take the place of larger centerpieces when your reception takes place in a garden. Whatever your style or palette, spring is the perfect time to take it outside! Spring is one of the seasons, much like autumn, where the beauty of the changing season is gorgeous. Treat your guests to a refreshing change from being inside all winter…and if it gets a bit chilly, have shawls placed on the back of the ladies chairs to cover their shoulders during dinner. When dinner is over, take the party inside for dancing inside since spring evenings can be a bit chilly. If you need any help, I’m here! Happy planning friends! XO
