Wedding Inspiration Board № 89 :: Summer Love #2

I am ready for summer are you? I can skip right over spring and get to the deliciousness of summer and today’s wedding inspiration board is all about all the carefree days that our warmest season brings. If your wedding is in the summer think of ice cream carts, pictures on the beach and the most glorious sunsets as your backdrop!

A neutral palette is my preferred starting point when collaborating with clients to create the color story for any event. It’s always easier for many to see the story evolve by introducing stronger colors into the story one at a time. Pale blush, muted tan, ivory, and shades of beige creates a calming and relaxing palette perfect for a warm weather affair outdoors. For a little unexpected glam add a touch of gold. Yes, gold is a metallic neutral  but it adds just enough “shine” to liven up a muted palette. Introduce colors like mint, peach, and a darker pink to add interest and depth to your color story to create the perfect palette for your summer celebration! Don’t forget to add texture to complete the look. Vintage lace would be  beautiful accent to wrap your bouquet in or added to the ribbon wands. These colors would  work wonderfully for a vintage themed wedding near a beach or a boardwalk. It reminds me of all the vintage images of Coney Island in its heyday! XO
