I have a crush on Sweet Paul…but before I tell you about that, let me share one of his clever ideas involving rose petals and ice cubes.
I am going to be honest with you, I’m not a fan of roses. GASP! I know a wedding planner who does not like roses? Blasphemy, right? And while we are on the subject of flowers I don’t particularly care for…you can add calla lilies to the list, too. However, I do love rose petals for the endless ways they can be used when baking, cooking, or making cocktails. Now, thanks to Sweet Paul, I have one more way to use rose petals. I’ve seen various petals frozen in ice cubes but this is different and beautifully so. What a gorgeous and simple way to present ice cubes to guests at your next gathering! In his own words, Sweet Paul tells us how make them:
- Use untreated, pesticide free petals
- Simply place one or two petals in each compartment of the tray and fill with water
- Freeze and you will have the most stunning ice cubes ever
- You can use this idea with any untreated edible flowers and herbs

When Sweet Paul launched his online magazine, I sent him a tweet and told him I had a crush on him…and just like the name says, he replied back with a very sweet message. The crush was instantly solidified. I don’t think I know anyone who has not heard of Sweet Paul, but in case you didn’t go check out his website and the back editions of his online magazine. Both are quite delicious and you will become a Sweet Paul fan instantly.
I’ve never seen them so strikingly styled!
bookmarked! this is a must try!
