Bridal Collection :: Oh Oui by Atelier Anonyme, Paris

Last month I was in Paris for the second time this year and met so many talented individuals in the wedding industry. From makeup artist, photographers, and designers. As a New Yorker who loves fashion I always thought NYC was the fashion capital of the world and we are in our own right. However, if NYC is the capital than Paris is the state of fashion.

After tea one afternoon I was invited by my friend and makeup artist Patricia Dehove Lherbier to attend the grand opening of the new studio of Atelier Anonyme and a look at her first wedding collection called ‘Oh Oui!’. Ironically that morning I saw a peek of it on Facebook. Needless to say it was a treat to actually meet the designer, Julie Bernier, in person. She was as lovely as her collection which I am so happy to share with you today. Not only did I get to see the wedding dresses, I actually got a chance to speak with Julie. Julie’s style is Parisian modern chic with little fuss…which I love! Elegantly dressed she welcomed us in to her studio with champagne and savory bites for a closer look at the dresses for 2015.

As a minimalist, I loved how the designer took classic bridal silhouettes and made them modern. There is a sense of lightness and freedom from the collection that is not seen in others collections that contain more rigid and restricting bodices. The dresses, in shades of ivory, are made for each bride by hand. Julie explained that if a bride sees a dress but wants to ‘tweak’ the look to suit her, an in-house team of seamstress can do so without straying too far from the dress’s intended elegance and simplicity. Julie travels often between London and Paris for work and attends many of the bridal appointment herself. Only one bride at a time is seen to ensure that every bride receives the time and privacy deserved when deciding on the dress for one of the biggest events in her life. That only adds to the experience and exceptional service which Atelier Anoyme is already known for by their Ready to Wear clients. Now brides can expect the same level of attention.
