Mood Board | Winter Lake

Hello dear friends! Yes, I agree; it has been a long time. I hope everyone is well and inspired by the endless possibilities of this brilliant new year. Nine days in and I am still excited about 2018. I hope you are, too. A brand new year is the perfect time to begin again. I bet many of you feel the same so why begin blogging again with a brand new mood board?

One of my favorite ways to help couples establish the mood and tone for their wedding day is by creating a mood board. On the occasions that I am asked to create a mood board they are typically for a bridal inpspired photoshoot, an editorial, and at times for interior decor clients who just need a little guidance when decorating a new space or revamping their current space.

I love calm, soothing colors that are found in nature. These colors tend to draw me in every time. Nature, at first blush, can seem simple but upon closer look we see how beautifully complex it can be. Texture upon texture and endless hues of green, blue, yellow, and every color existing in nature. Whenever you  are stumped creating a color story for your wedding, event design, or the decor in your home look to nature for endless inspiration. I hope you enjoy today’s mood board. I have been decorating my flat for a year and loved the way these colors blend with gray, one of my favorite colors, so effortlessly. I want to create a cozy space accented with natural fabrics in various textures. I am choosing simple pieces that conveys the laid back California lifestyle I adopted from my years in SoCal with a touch of the clean Nordic influence that speaks to my minimalist aesthetic. Wish my luck! Please visit again soon…I have many more things to share with about life, travel, decor, and of course weddings.
