Have you ever had a day in your career that everything seems so surreal and you think to yourself ‘This cannot be happening?’ Well the day this shoot took place is when I felt like that. This amazing opportunity all started with one simple phone call from Jackie the editor of Munaluchi Bride Magazine. I remember asking her if she could kindly pull the phone away from her ear, she asked me why and I replied “Please’? When she did I screamed…

The team of professionals who worked on this shoot was a dream team! It was amazing to watch everyone come together as true professionals , do their part and step back to watch Elizabeth Messina work her magic with our amazingly beautiful, graceful and professional model Nikia Phoenix. To witness the two of them work together was like watching poetry come to life. Through Elizabeth’s lenses with every turn, glance or slight of her hand, Nikia blossomed right in front of us. With every change of the many couture wedding dresses at our disposal Nikia embodied and brought to life the look and the intent each designer had for that dress so perfectly. I was told by Jackie that the way Elizabeth talks to brides and models is almost magical…and she was so right. Even as a lover of words I cannot find the right ones to explain it but I will try; it is as if Elizabeth finds a place deep within every subject so pure that the very essence of their beauty is all that can be captured. I believe that when we look at Elizabeth’s work that is what we see. That is part of her gift. The other part is being able to capture it in a way so native to her. Never did I think I would witness this gift so up close and personal. It was an amazing day.
