The Blushing Bride Cocktail & A Few Lovely Links

It’s Friday…I am so thankful that it is! Yes it was quite the busy week and it was filled with lots to do and still is. Let’s just say the most important things were done and the other stuff that did not…let’s just say that they will temporarily be forgotten until Monday. It is Friday and nothing is going to stop me from enjoying it! Tonight I am actually going out {gasp!} for dessert & cocktails with out of town friends and my husband. I am not much of a drinker but the dessert…I have been looking forward to all week.

As I was thinking about this post earlier this week, I began to wonder if there is a drink called “The Blushing Bride”…of course there is and plenty of them! I found one that I think I could really love. The ingredients are champagne, pear puree {love!}, cranberry juice, simple syrup, and a splash of 7up. Serve it in a martini glass and garnish with a bright red raspberry…and you have a “Blushing Bride”! Doesn’t it sound delicious? Do let me know if you try this at home.
