Amanda Wakeley Wedding Dresses

Amanda Wakeley’s wedding dresses made me a fan of the designer the minute I laid eyes on the collection. Much to my surprise, I liked almost all of the pieces in the collection. The more I looked the more I kept thinking, “These dresses are absolutely gorgeous!” Each dress was more enchanting than the last. Not to go into this long rant about them, but Amanda Wakeley’s collection perfectly and beautifully drapes the female form. If you are not into corsets or the feeling of being restricted in your movements, you are going to love this collection.

The collection is divided into different countries; South Africa, Morocco, Rajasthan, and the dessert {not a country but it works!}. I have to say this is one of my favorite collections this year because it is still bridal and elegant without all the tulle, lace, and pouf often seen on more traditional gowns. It appeals to the woman who wants to have the feeling of being a bride without the busyness of a typical bridal gown.

For the fashion forward bride, Wakeley’s collection is current with today’s fashion trends {peplums, fabric folds, cinched waists, boho bridal. etc.} without appearing to be too trendy. This collection offers brides a lovely and modern mix of gowns to choose from. Which one is your favorite? It is so hard for me to choose!
