Today is the first day of spring which means April’s showers will soon be upon us. I love the slow transformation that takes over Mother Earth when spring begins. Seeing the earth become this vast array of colors is why spring is my favorite season. I also know that all the prettiness of spring would not be possible without a very special blessing from above the…rain! If you live anywhere besides Southern California, where we are suffering from a drought, it is inevitable at some point during this season you are going to have to work, live, and play in the rain. Since there’s not much you can do about that why not be fashionably prepared for the April showers with some of the prettiest umbrellas of the season? I’ve rounded up a few pretty ones that will sure to make the rain seem not all that bad after all!

Oh, how I love this post! When I moved to SF, I treated myself to a classic trench and a Burberry black & plaid umbrella. They always make me feel chic, no matter how crummy the weather!
