It just makes the look formal when you add a bit of whimsy {bright colors} to stripes. I have been obsessing over stripes as of late {and a tad bit crazy for the right placed bow!}. They are fun and whimsical and no too serious and look great paired with bright blooms, patterns {sparingly used} and of course with colors like yellow, poppy pink, green and gold {one o my favorite wedding palettes}. Black and white striped wedding invitations are perfect..line your envelopes with striped paper. Your bridesmaids will thank you if the stripes on the dresses are vertical and not horizontal. DIY your own striped ceremony canopy or have one made. Wrap striped ribbon around your wedding cutlery. Let us not forget the groom and the groomsmen attire! And yes of course you can have a crazy striped wedding cake!
