Aqua Fresca & Lovely Links

Happy Weekend lovelies! I am so glad it’s the weekend. Yesterday I attended the beautifully whimsical wedding of my friends Suzanne & Mike of She Wanders Photography and had a blast and because of that I kept thinking yesterday was Friday. It was a great day. The sun was shining and the lovely bride and groom were married in the Zoro Butterfly Garden in Balboa Park. After the wedding a band led the parade of guests to another area of Balboa Park for the reception. It so happened that Mr. G was in town so it was a perfect “date” night for us.

Today’s Lovely Sip is sans alcohol and is an aqua fresca from the blog “How Sweet it Is“. Aqua fresca is a Latin drink popular in the Caribbean and Central America. It can be made with several different fruits and is the perfect drink for the warm summer months. I personally love it made with tamarind or watermelon. These pictured are made with mango {oh yea that’s another favorite of mine} and watermelon. Trust me they are just as yummy as they look. Click here for the recipe.
