It has been sometime since I shared a Haute Escape with you. I promise that will not be the case anymore. Today’s escape is simply beautiful. The idea of living in an old home in La Marche Italy {the new Tuscany} that was once a farm, might not appeal to most of us. When I heard of this three hundred year old home an old dank monstrous edifice with dilapidated rooms came to mind- a la the movie “The Tuscan Sun”. Boy, was I wrong! I could easily live in this amazing home. Swiss architects, Markus Wespi and Jerome de Meuron, played the minimalist interiors against the historic facade of the building and its rural surroundings to create the perfect balance of modern and rustic. For someone like me whose decor taste is quite eclectic this would be the perfect place to enjoy the best of both design styles. What do you think? I can imagine spending the entire summer blissfully soaking up the Italian sun surrounded by love, good food, books, family, and my dog, Jake, of course. To rent this villa visit Via Villas.

The building structure looked really old but inside it’s surprisingly modern! Love the interiors and the minimalist designs 🙂 The pool is fabulous!
