One of my favorite websites is Houzz. Endless images are uploaded every day by design and decor professionals and laymen alike to inspire you to create and design the home of your dreams. Recently, I found a gem of a renovation in a city that I once lived in and I had to share it with you. If you have the wherewithal to live through the stress inducing months of a renovation and can envision your perfectly finished home even with the mess it will look like during a whole home renovation you will probably end up with the home of your dreams. This home renovation, located in Decatur a suburb of Atlanta, is proof positive that good things come to those who can stand to wait.
This bungalow, located in Decatur, Georgia is 3,200 square feet with five bedrooms three bathrooms including a basement, was on the market as a foreclosure and as the before pictures below depict, literally was a hot mess. The buyers decided to enlist the help of Ili Hidalgo-Nilsson at TerraCotta Properties, a local design-build firm in Atlanta to turn this design mess into a beautiful living “Yes!” I am in love with the entire renovation of this home from the curb appeal to the beautiful black French doors in the office that leads to a gorgeous deck with an inviting fireplace to get cozy around.
