Lovely Links & Lessons Learned

Happy Friday! Wow this week went by so fast…but all that I set out to accomplish I most certainly did. Last week I realized that I have to go back to some of the not so lovely things I learned when I was chained to the corporate world. For example, when you work a 9 -5 in a corporate setting the personal calls are a “no no”. As much as we want to pretend they do not sidetrack us, they do. This also holds true when you are working from your home office. Until I am done with the work I set out to do {which is always the hardest thing first} I am sticking to this general rule. It really has helped me regain my focus these past two weeks!

I came across this amazing blog by Emily McCarthy and I’m not sure how what I was looking for landed me on it but I am so glad I did. Emily calls herself a “small town girl turned coastal living designer”. She has been in the paper industry for quite a while and it shows as you scroll through her blog. You cannot help but be uplifted by the beautiful quotes she shares on her blog. This one resonates with me so much. As one who is always looking for that super best friend…this quote reminds me, I already have one…and it is me. Thank you for the reminder and your beautiful blog, Emily.
